Los Angeles Lakers vs Phoenix Suns 11/12/2019 – The Phoenix Suns (6-3) have turned out more than a competitive basketball team this season because they are looking like a real playoff contender, at least at this stage of the 2019-20 NBA season. On Tuesday, Phoenix will have a chance to further validate their hot start if they can pull off a victory against the visiting Los Angeles Lakers (7-2). Top online sportsbooks are anticipating a tight matchup in the desert as they only put the Lakers as -4.5 points favorites in a game in which they could miss Anthony Davis due to a bummed shoulder.

The Lakers’ seven-game winning streak came to an end on Sunday at the hands of the undermanned Toronto Raptors. Anthony Davis delivered his usual numbers with 27 points, 8 rebounds, and 3 assists. LeBron James recorded another triple-double, but the Raptors defense forced the four-time NBA MVP to play passive all game long. James went just 5-for-15 from the field and sank three of only six attempts from the foul line for 13 points.

Players to Watch: Anthony Davis (26.6 PPG, 10.3 RPG, 3.2 APG), LeBron James (24.6 PPG, 8.2 RPG, 11.0 APG), Avery Bradley (10.2 PPG, 3.6 RPG, 1.4 APG)

Phoenix Suns Betting

In every win the Phoenix Suns make, the more people jump on their bandwagon. After years of mediocrity and despair in the desert, the Suns are rising again and they are becoming one of the must-watch teams in the NBA because of their well-orchestrated run-and-gun offense. Through nine games, Phoenix has the fifth-best offense in the league at 116.8 PPG. Devin Booker is obviously the leader of the team, but their unselfish brand of basketball is producing 28.1 assists per game – No.1 in the NBA.

Players to Watch: Devin Booker (25.8 PPG, 5.4 RPG, 3.3 APG), Kelly Oubre, Jr. (17.2 PPG, 5.4 RPG, 1.6 APG), Aron Baynes (15.8 PPG, 5.9 RPG, 3.1 APG)

Los Angeles Lakers vs Phoenix Suns Betting Picks

Anthony Davis should be good to go for Tuesday, but in case he sits out for precautionary measures, expect more minutes for Kyle Kuzma at the power forward spot. As for the Suns, they barely missed the absence of suspended big man DeAndre Ayton because Aron Baynes has so far done a superb job for the team.

Moneyline: The outcome of the game will depend on Anthony Davis’ availability. If he plays, the Lakers should be the wiser pick. If he sits out, the Suns look like the viable option.

ATS: The Suns are a terrific 8-1 against the spread this season. With or without Davis, Phoenix should give the Lakers a good fight down to the very end and cover the 4.5 points spread.

TOTALs: This game will go under the NBA over/under totals of 223 points. The possibility of losing Davis for Tuesday game could mean somebody on the Lakers roster has to fill in the forward’s 26 PPG production, which is quite a tall order. The Suns are going to score, but the Lakers without Davis might not be as explosive as they are with him.

Score Prediction: 111-106 Suns
