Los Angeles Clippers vs Houston Rockets 11/13/2019 – After several weeks of waiting, the Los Angeles Clippers (7-3) will finally unveil to the basketball world the other half of their newly-minted superstar tandem with last season’s MVP runner-up Paul George reportedly leaning towards making his Clippers’ debut on Wednesday against the Houston Rockets (7-3) at Toyota Center. Still, in the face of possibly facing the Clippers one-two punch of Klaw and PG13, the Rockets still open a slight -1.5 favorites in the NBA betting lines.

NBA fans are about to see the full potential of this Clippers team. With George a game-time decision for Tuesday’s ballgame vs. the Rockets, NBA teams could, at last, get a clue on how fearsome the Clippers really are when fully operational. Kawhi Leonard should view George’s return from injury as a timely reinforcement after carrying most of the load for the Clippers as their top scorers and perimeter defender through the first 10 games of the season.

Players to Watch: Kawhi Leonard (26.9 PPG, 8.5 RPG, 5.9 APG), Lou Williams (22.3 PPG, 3.7 RPG, 5.6 APG), Montrezl Harrell (19.8 PPG, 7.1 RPG, 2.2 APG)

Houston Rockets Betting

While the Clippers are just starting to put the puzzle together, the Houston Rockets are already 10 games into their James Harden-Russell Westbrook experiment. And although the partnership has some hiccups here and there, and obviously far from being perfect, Houston hasn’t missed a step when it comes to lighting up the score sheet as they still rank the No.1 offensive team in the NBA at 120 points per games.

Players to Watch: James Harden (37.3 PPG, 5.4 RPG, 8.3 APG), Russell Westbrook (21.9 PPG, 8.8 RPG, 7.4 APG), Clint Capela (13.5 PPG, 11.7 RPG, 1.2 APG)

Again, Paul George is scheduled to make his season debut this week but did not specify which game he will play in. George’s return can’t come at a much better timing as Landy Shamet will sit for at least the next few games because of a second-grade ankle injury. As for the Rockets, Eric Gordon’s absence means more shot attempts for Austin Rivers.

Moneyline: The Clippers should be the popular NBA Moneyline pick since they boast two of the best perimeter defenders in the league. The Rockets are explosive and all that, but the Clips have the defensive personnel to contain Harden and Westbrook.

ATS: The Clippers have been pretty good in ATS with a 7-3 record. Like their previous games against the Blazers and the Raptors, there will be a lot of momentum swings and lead changes in this game, but I can see the Clips pulling away in the final three minutes, thanks to Kawhi’s clutch baskets.

TOTALs: This game will go under the NBA over/under totals of 231 points. The Clippers have the potential to really become a great offensive and defensive squad. However, George is just coming off a major shoulder injury and there’s no telling how many weeks or months will it take for the Clippers to fully acclimatize their stars.

Score Prediction: 107-98 Clippers
