Golden State Warriors
The Warriors enter this Wednesday night pairing sporting a 19-6 record that ranks Golden State 1st in the Pacific Division and 2nd overall in the Western Conference. The Houston Rockets are currently leading the West, with their 18-4 record that gives them a slightly higher win percentage over the Warriors. However, there’s no question that the Warriors aren’t worried about rankings at the moment, since they’ll be more focused on pulling off this evening’s win without one of their key players.
Curry sprained his ankle in the Warriors matchup against the New Orleans Pelicans a few days ago. Golden State came out on top 125-115 but the fact that Curry will be on the sidelines for the next two weeks does not bode well for the Warriors. The two-time MVP is currently leading the Warriors in points with his average of 26.3 points, 5.1 rebounds and 6.6 assists per game. Consequently, the Warriors will have to turn elsewhere for those numbers. Luckily for Golden State, they happen to have the best roster in the NBA. Lastly, despite the absence of Curry, the NBA parlay picks and odds are siding with the Warriors by a decisive margin.
The Hornets fly into this evening’s pairing flashing a 9-13 record that ranks the franchise 3rd in the Southeast Division and 11th in the Eastern Conference overall. Charlotte is coming off a losing season and it does not look like the franchise will be delivering a turnaround this year. Furthermore, the Hornets are 1-4 in their last 5 games, so fans can expect the bad times to keep on rolling. While it may be true that Curry will not be in the lineup this evening, it’s also true that Charlotte will need a whole lot more than that to pull off this upset.
The NBA game betting odds are predicting that Charlotte will lose by 5 this evening. This seems like the best line to take considering that the Hornets recently lost to the Miami Heat by 5 and to the Toronto Raptors by 13. Naturally, it follows that the Warriors can deliver a more lopsided result.
