The Pistons sustained their fourth loss in five games, losing to the Los Angeles Lakers, 106-99. Derrick Rose had another outstanding scoring night with 28 points, while Andre Drummond racked up 12 points and 18 boards. Detroit couldn’t stop the Lakers’ double-barrel attack of LeBron James and Anthony Davis, who combined for 45 points.

The Cleveland Cavaliers have now suffered four straight setbacks, making their fanbase and star player Kevin Love unhappy with the direction of the team. Dante Exum, though, was the silver lining in their recent loss to the Minnesota Timberwolves. The Aussie guard finished with 28 points off the bench and Collin Sexton tallied 19 points.

Detroit Pistons vs Cleveland Cavaliers Betting Picks
Online bookmakers are anticipating a tight matchup between these two win-hungry Central Division teams. The Pistons are coming in as 3-point road favorite only because the Cavs are on a four-game losing skid.
Moneyline: I am expecting an upset win from the Cavaliers. Cleveland might be on a losing skid, but the Pistons are coming into the game tired after a grueling Western Conference road trip. Detroit is also not a good road team with a 5-14 record away from Little Caesar’s Arena.
ATS: As my Moneyline pick, the Cavaliers will cover the 3-point spread and get their 15th ATS win of the season.
TOTALs: The total opened at 214.5 points. The Pistons scored 127 points in their last game against the Cavaliers on December 3 to push the total to 221 points in their last game. While I doubt these teams will combine for more than 221 in this game, I expect the total to go OVER since 214.5 points is a pretty reachable figure in today’s NBA.
Score Prediction: 115 – 110 Cavaliers
