Cleveland Hoping to Defy Basketball Betting Odds

In the first contest of this year’s NBA Finals, the Warriors proved the basketball betting odds were right by scoring 113 on the Cavs. Cleveland was unable to keep up with the fast pace Golden State’s offense delivered, and quickly found themselves on the losing end. Fast forward to Game 2, and it’s clear that the Cavaliers offense took it upon themselves to deliver a better show. This past weekend, in Game 2 of the NBA Finals, the Cavs were able to reach the 113 benchmark that spelled defeat for them in Game 1. Unfortunately for Cleveland, the Warriors had no qualms about pounding them again, overcoming the Cavs by a decisive margin once more, 132-113.

Warriors are 2 for 2

With their win over the Cavs in Game 2, Golden State manages to remain undefeated thus far in the playoffs. It’s a noteworthy accomplishment to say the least, and sports betting sites will have to take this into consideration when creating odds for the rest of the series.

The story in Game 2 was similar to the first contest; Kevin Durant and Stephen Curry tag-teaming the Cavs, except this time it was Curry who led the way. The reigning MVP recorded his first career postseason triple double as Curry finished the night with 32 points, 11 assists, and 10 rebounds. Durant couldn’t match the triple-double, but he had no problem putting up 33 points, 6 assists, and 13 rebounds. This NBA betting information is a clear indication that Durant and Curry will continue to drop bombs on the Cavs as the series progresses.

The Cavs made some improvements in Game 2 but were still league’s away from coming away with it. James led Cleveland in points behind his 29 point, 14 assist, 11 rebound performance and Kevin Love lent a helping hand, putting up 27 points, 7 rebounds, and 2 steals.

The series now heads to Cleveland where the Cavaliers are hoping they can find their way back into the Finals. This time last year, the Warriors had also gained a 2-game advantage, but ended up losing Game 3. Because of this, Wednesday night’s contest will play a larger role than the basketball betting odds could’ve imagined. If the Cavs manage to upset Golden State in Game 3, they might be able to shock the world. But if Golden State pick-ups their third straight win over Cleveland, well the fat lady might as well start singing.

Game 3 Will be MVP

Even though they’re not facing elimination this Wednesday, Cleveland might as well be. They come into this match with zero momentum, heads hanging low, and the world against them. Besides Cleveland fans, you could count on one hand the people who think the Cavs will win this Wednesday. Nevertheless, it’s never a good idea to rule out King James, especially with his back against the wall.

Cleveland’s NBA title hopes hang on their Game 3 performance. Quite frankly, they hinge on how much of a factor their home court will be this Wednesday. Sports betting sites aren’t giving them much of a shot but the sports betting community will just have to wait and see.
