The transaction takes effect in the 2025-26 season as Davis will earn US$40.6 million this coming season and US$43.2 million in 2024-25. The extension will conclude in 2027-28, meaning the 6-foot-10 power forward/center will be with the Lakers over the next five seasons. The agreement raises the 30-year-old’s career on-court earnings to almost US$500 million when his contract lapses. Beginning in 2025-26, Davis will make about US$750,000 for every regular season game on the Lakers’ schedule.
