The buzz around the web is that LeBron’s team was able to snag the better talent. Heck even a blind man can see that this team is loaded with incredible shooting talent thanks to the likes of Kevin Durant, James Harden, Klay Thomson, Damian Lillard and Bradley Beal. Ultimately this bunch will be competing for the limelight by making more jaw-dropping shots than the others. Since this is the All-Star game, we can count on there being no defense. And if that’s the case, we can fully anticipate a flurry of 3s coming from LeBron’s teams. While LeBron may have caught some slack in the past by the NBA teams he puts together, no one is criticizing his roster here. However, they’re counterparts are quite talented as well and this should make for some highly entertaining basketball.
Players to Watch: LeBron James (26.8 ppg, 7.6 apg, 8.6 rpg), Kevin Durant (27.6 ppg, 5.9 apg, 7.0 rpg), and Kawhi Leonard (27.0 ppg, 7.7 rpg, 3.3 apg).
The Greek Freak looks to lead a team brimming with talent against the King this upcoming Sunday. All things considered, we did praise LeBron’s team for their shooting talent, Team Giannis counters that by wielding the best shooter in the game. All in all, Stephen Curry might be the best shooter the league has ever seen. Moreover, they have the best center in the league in Joel Embiid and an MVP candidate in Paul George. It should be mentioned that George has been nailing 3s in his own right as he has a 49% shooting on 3s in his last 15 games. Nevertheless, the one critique of Giannis’ team is that he favored big men too heavily. While this may not be a hindrance in the NBA Finals, it might be in a game where running and fast-break opportunities will reign supreme.
Players to Watch: Giannis Antetokounmpo (27.2 ppg, 12.7 rpg, 6.6 apg), Joel Embiid (27.3 ppg, 13.5 rpg, 3.1 apg), and Stephen Curry (28.6 ppg, 5.2 apg, 5.1 rpg).
