This year’s online basketball betting season is headed towards the All-Star break which means that it’s time for sportsbook players to prepare for the 2018 NBA All-Star Game. Last year the NBA introduced a new format to their All-Star game, choosing to part from the classic East vs. West setup. In addition, the NBA further mixed things up this season by electing a team captain to each side and allowing the captains to select their rosters. It’s an interesting mix up that should give way to a thrilling show. Let’s break down some pertinent information for this weekend’s event before diving into some NBA parlay picks to be made on the 2018 NBA All-Star Game betting action!

2018 NBA All-Star Game Betting Breakdown

Interestingly enough, NBA sportsbooks have pegged Team LeBron as the favorite in the 2018 NBA All-Star Game betting odds. Which is rather interesting, considering that Curry will be playing alongside 3 current teammates. On the other hand, Bron will be playing alongside zero current teammates since Kevin Love is currently injured. Technically Kyrie Irving is a former teammate, but given the narrative between those two: it’s hard to imagine that working out.

In terms of talent, it’s nearly impossible to give one team the edge over another. After all, this is the NBA All-Star Game we’re talking about here. So instead of focusing on that angle, we’re gonna tackle this matchup by estimating which team will have the better overall chemistry. Because, come game time, the team that executes better as a whole will walk off the court victoriously.

So, given that, there’s no question that Team Stephen has the upper hand in chemistry. Not only does the team claim 4 current Warriors, 2 of them will be starting. Additionally, every player on Curry’s team hails from the Western Conference, which means they spend a lot of time playing against each other and watching tape on one another. Having said all that, it’s pretty clear that Team Stephen will have the better all-around chemistry. In other words, take Team Curry on the money line this sportsbook betting weekend.
