Yankees-Royals Set to Fight Again this MLB Betting Monday
Posted by: Charlie Smith
The online MLB betting season is just getting started. This weekend offered a variety of games for players, with Saturday’s action being devoid of variety and Sunday being chock full of it. Monday’s action will be somewhere in the middle, with the league offering 9 games to liven up your betting action. Most of Monday’s action will be taking place later on in the day, with the earliest contest starting at 7 pm ET this evening. However, there won’t be too many late-night contests Monday night, as the latest game will begin at 9:40 pm ET. Nevertheless, there will still be plenty of America’s favorite pastime to get you pumped about Monday’s betting lineup.
Latest Online MLB Betting News & Previews
With only 9 games to choose from, players who bet on MLB have to be a bit more selective with their betting options Monday night. There are plenty of interesting matchups, like the contest between the Baltimore Orioles and Minnesota Twins, and others that could turn out to be rather boring, like the pairing between the Chicago White Sox and the Arizona Diamondbacks. However, the online MLB betting contest that is by far the most exciting has to be the game between the Kansas City Royals and the New York Yankees.

Kansas City Royals
After winning the World Series in 2015, the Royals were hoping for similar success in the following year. However, their results would be far from. Kansas City failed to make the postseason in 2016, and ended up finishing 3rd in the division. This year, it looks like the Royals are setting the bar even lower.
Currently, Kansas City is sitting on a lackluster 18-25 that ranks them dead last in the American League Central. On top of that, the Royals own the worst record in the entire American League. They’ve certainly fallen from grace, but Kansas City is still hoping there’s time to turn this ship around.
New York Yankees
The Yankees failed to make the playoffs last year but are on the right path to making an impact in this year’s playoffs. New York currently sits atop the AL East thanks to their 25-16 record that places them ½ a game ahead of 2nd place Baltimore.
This series will mark the second time the Yankees have faced Kansas City this season. The first was earlier this month, when the two locked horns in a three-game series. The Yankees ended up coming out on top 2 games to 1. Additionally, they outscored Kansas City 19-13.
