Monday’s online MLB betting action gave way to some pretty intense blowouts. First the Yankees, who had just gotten done with an 18-inning match the night before, decided that they were done with extra innings and delivered a defiant 10-4 whooping to the Cincinnati Reds. Later on in the evening, the Los Angeles Dodgers gave an even more fantastic beatdown to the Pittsburgh Pirates 1-12. The Pirates have been down on their luck lately and it seems like they’ll be getting their rear-ends handed to them quite often this season.

Los Angeles Angels
The Angels are hoping to turn things around in 2017 after having a rather lackluster season last year. Overall, the Angels finished with a 74-88 record that gave way to a 4th place finish in the AL West and kept them out of the playoffs for the second straight year. Los Angeles is hoping to put an end to that drought this year.
The Angels haven’t gotten off to the worst of starts, but they’re currently far from being impressive. As things currently stand, the Angels rank second in the Al West, thanks to their 16-18 record that ranks them 5 games behind division-leading Houston.
Tuesday night, Los Angeles will be sending Alex Meyer to the mound. Meyer is 0-1 on the season behind a very disappointing 9.39 ERA. Accounting for that starter, it would be ill-advised to pick the Angles over the A’s.
Oakland Athletics
The Athletics are also coming off an extremely disappointing season, albeit a 69-93 one. Oakland finished dead last in the AL West and obviously missed out on the postseason, the second year in a row that they’ve done so.
Interestingly enough, the Athletics have struggled more than the Angels. Oakland currently owns a 15-17 record that ties them for third-place in the AL West with the Seattle Mariners. The Athletics own a 2-game lead over last place Texas, and are 1-game behind Los Angeles.
The A’s will be sending Jharel Cotton to the mound Tuesday night. Cotton is 3-3 on the season and owns a 4.64 ERA.
