Unfortunately, their efforts proved to be insufficient and this year’s performance isn’t much better. The Mariners currently rank 4^th in the AL West, thanks to their 18-21 record that places them 2-games ahead of Oakland, and 1-game behind the Rangers.

Seattle will be giving Chase de Jong the start Tuesday night. De Jong is 0-3 on the season, and bolsters an unimpressive 7.85 ERA. Despite the fact that Seattle won Game 1 6-5, the baseball wagering odds have still sided with Oakland. De Jong’s ERA is a warning sign to keep away from Seattle, but since Oakland is riding a 4-match losing streak, De Jong could very well get his first win of the season.
