MLB Sports Betting Odds Favor Giants Over Reds

Run line baseball betting continues this Thursday as the MLB has another thrilling round of contests on deck for baseball wagering fans. Wednesday’s action was fairly straightforward. We had a couple of high-scoring games and a few blowouts. The Mariners were able to score 11 runs against the Phillies, and the Tampa Bay Rays outscored the Kansas City Royals by 11 points. But arguably the biggest headline of the night came from the Washington Nationals as their 6-7 win over the Orioles put an end to Baltimore’s eye-raising 6-game winning streak the club was riding. Will Thursday’s action prove to be as eventful?

San Francisco Giants -1 ½ (+170) 8 (-105) -120
The Reds haven’t made a postseason appearance in three years but Cincinnati is hopeful they can put an end to that drought in 2017. Currently, the Reds are tied for second in the National League Central, thanks to their 18-15 record. It’s certainly not the worst of positions to find yourself in so early in the season, but there’s still plenty of room for improvement. Luckily enough for the Reds, they’re only one game behind division-leading St. Louis. If they can surpass the Cardinals, the Reds will own the title of being the best team in the NL Central.
The Red will be sending Bronson Arroyo to the mound against San Fran. Arroyo is 3-2 on the season and wields a 6.53 ERA.
San Francisco Giants
The Giants are coming off a season in which they were able to make the postseason, but were unable to advance past the National League Division series where they lost to the Chicago Cubs 3-1. The Giants have won the World Series 3 times in the last 7 years but they’re having a hard time replicating that success in 2017. Currently, the Giants rank dead last in the NL West thanks to their less than stellar 12-23 record.
The Giants will be sending Ty Blach to the mound Thursday night. Blach is 0-2 on the season and sports a 5.66 ERA. The MLB sports betting odds think Blach’s stats are enough to paint the Giants as favorites ahead of Thursday’s game.
