Indians set to Face Orioles this MLB Betting Thursday

One of the most spectacular stories to come out of this year’s seasons involves Cody Bellinger’s record-breaking journey to 21 home runs. The Los Angeles Dodgers’ rookie became the fastest player to reach that figure in MLB history earlier this week, in just 51 games. Getting to witness history in the making has been an added perk for those who bet on MLB games this season.
Bellinger will get an opportunity to rack up some more home runs this Thursday when the Dodgers face the Mets once more. But before we break down Thursday’s contests, let’s take a look at what went down Wednesday.
Wednesday’s Wrap-Up for Players who Bet on MLB
The most interesting result from Wednesday’s action involved the Diamondbacks upset over Colorado. Earlier this week, when these two first met, the Rockies beat Arizona 4-3 – spoiling the D-backs 7-game win streak. Interestingly enough, that win over Arizona marked Colorado’s 6th-straight victory. Unfortunately, they wouldn’t make it to 7 as the Diamondbacks got their revenge this past Wednesday, in a decisive 16-5 manner.
MLB betting fans also got to see the Mariners win their 4th-straigh yesterday, when Seattle beat the Tigers – for the third night in a row, 7-5. With that win, the Mariners have now come within 12 ½ games of tying the AL West-leading Houston Astros.
The Astros hit a rough patch earlier this month but have now found their footing against the Oakland A’s and are back to their winning ways, as they picked up their third-straight win over Oakland 5-1.
Late Wednesday, the Dodgers were able to extend their winning streak to 6, as they beat the New York Mets once again. Los Angeles has been giving the Mets quite a beating in this series. They beat New York 10-6 in Game 1, 12-0 in Game 2, and 8-2 yesterday. Despite their win streak, Los Angeles is still 2-games from tying Houston as the winningest team in the MLB.
A total of 6 games will be nationally broadcast this Thursday, giving MLB fans across the nation even more reason to hit up sports betting sites. Amongst these 6 contests, the most competitive pairing has to be the contest between the Cleveland Indians and Baltimore Orioles.
Cleveland Indians vs. Baltimore Orioles – Thursday, June 22nd
When: 7:05 pm ET
Where: Oriole Park, Baltimore
Series: Game 4 of 4-game series
Stream: MLB TV
Online Betting Odds:
Cleveland Indians -1 ½ (+125) 10 ½ (-110) -124
Baltimore Orioles +1 ½ (-145) 10 ½ (-110) +114
The online betting odds are favoring the Indians in this contest, which comes as no surprise considering Cleveland is the leader of the AL Central. The Indians were riding a 5-game win streak as they entered their 4-game series against Baltimore. Despite beating the Orioles 12-0 in Game 1, Baltimore was able to pull off a 6-5 upset in Game 2. The Indians got their revenge in Game 3 and will be looking to rekindle a win streak this Thursday.
The Indians will be sending Mike Clevinger to the mound this evening. Clevinger is 2-3 on the season with a 3.89 ERA and 1.16 WHIP. Clevinger has allowed 5 home runs in just 8 games played this season.
The Orioles aren’t having the best of seasons, and they’re definitely not having the best of Junes either. So far this month, Baltimore has posted an 8-10 record, with 6 of those losses coming consecutively. Nevertheless, fans who bet on MLB will remember that the Orioles had found some measure of success early this season, and they’re season is far from being over. Baltimore is currently sitting on a 35-36 record that ranks them 4th in the AL East. However, they are only 5 games behind the division-leading New York Yankees.
Wade Miley will get the start this Thursday. Miley is 3-4 on the season with a 4.29 ERA and 1.61 WHIP. Miley has been rather ghastly this June, as the 6-year veteran has posted a whopping 8.15 ERA.
