Indians Hoping for Easy Online MLB Betting Win

Posted by: Mike Davis

The online MLB betting season will return with a vengeance this Friday. There will be a full course of MLB action, offering a spectrum of contests for players who are looking to bet on baseball once again. Let’s take a look at the most promising matchups the MLB has on schedule for this Friday.

Friday’s Online MLB Betting Lineup

Friday’s action will get kicked off by a matchup between the Chicago Cubs and the Baltimore Orioles. Bettors who tuned into the ESPYS this past Wednesday night witnessed Bill Murray, Nick Offerman, and David Ross celebrate the Cubs’ historic championship run on the big stage. Chicago hasn’t been half bad this season, as they currently rank 2nd in the NL Central. They should open as favorite over Baltimore.

Another intriguing matchup scheduled for this Friday is the pairing between the New York Yankees and Boston Red Sox. This series will be the Yankees best shot at dethroning Boston atop the AL East. Online MLB betting fans can tune in for a preview of that contest here.

Another matchup worth taking a look at is the pairing between the Washington Nationals and the Cincinnati Reds. The Reds have been having a disappointing season and will likely be steamrolled by the Nats, who currently lead the NL East. Will Washington build upon their nearly 10-game lead?

Like the Nats, the Indians will be facing a lowly team: the Oakland Athletics. The A’s have one of the worst records in the MLB and will likely be fodder for Cleveland. Let’s take a look at what MLB betting sites are predicting for this contest.

Cleveland Indians

The Indians come into this contest as the leaders of the AL Central, all thanks to their 47-40 record. That record gives Cleveland a 2 ½ game lead over the 2nd place Minnesota Twins in the division. The last time the Indians stepped onto the Diamond they conceded a loss to the Detroit Tigers. This Friday, Cleveland will be looking to stop that losing streak dead in their tracks. Likewise, the Indians missed out on the playoffs last season and will be looking to snap that drought this year.

In order to get there, the Indians will be starting Carlos Carrasco against Oakland. Carrasco is 10-3 on the season and wields a 3.44 ERA as well as a 1.08 WHIP.

Oakland Athletics

The Oakland Athletics are having another extremely disappointing season. The A’s have missed out on the playoffs the last two years and will likely miss out again this season. Oakland is currently sitting on a 39-50 that paints them as the worst team in the AL West. The Athletics are currently 4+ games behind 4th place Seattle, and a whopping 21+ games behind 1st place Houston.

Sonny Gray will get the start for the Athletics this Friday. Gray is 4-4 on the season with a 4.00 ERA and a 1.21 WHIP.
