Biggest Online Baseball Wagering Winners of 2017 Deadline

The 2017 Major League Baseball trade deadline has come and passed, leaving in its wake an array of online baseball wagering fans looking to jump on the best bet on MLB futures.
To help make that perfect bet, players have to catch up on what trades went down. Granted, how those players perform down the stretch will also be impactful.
Take the Los Angeles Dodgers for example. If Darvish manages to strut his stuff down the stretch, players who bet on MLB will say that LA did well in obtaining him. Unfortunately, we’ll need time for this, and other, trades to blossom before we can truly know if they’re worth betting on.
Nonetheless, players can still use their savvy MLB knowledge to take what we do know at this time and turn it into a winning bet. With that in mind, let’s take a look at the biggest online baseball wagering winners of the 2017 MLB trade deadline.
Los Angeles Dodgers
Because the Dodgers are 40 games over .500, many fans felt that Los Angeles didn’t have any real need to improve. However, that didn’t stop them from doing so.
The Dodgers managed to improve their relieve pitching by picking up Tony Watson from Pittsburgh. Los Angeles’ biggest move came as the deadline drew nearer, snatching Yu Darvish from the Texas Rangers. Some consider this to be the biggest move made by any team.
Los Angeles didn’t compromise its top pitching prospects for Darvish, rather sacrificing infielder Willie Calhoun for the trade. Overall, this leaves the Dodgers with a formidable lineup that has plenty of depth as well as star power. Picking LA to win it all does not seem like a bad idea right now.
You can’t have winners without losers and the Astros are arguably the biggest losers of this year’s trade deadline. Like the Dodgers, Houston is currently sitting comfortably on a winning record and a massive lead atop the AL West. However, many players feel that the Astros’ inactivity will lead to their downfall later on down the road, despite what the sportsbook odds say.
New York Yankees
The Yankees made arguably the second biggest move of this year’s trade deadline. The Yanks managed to make Sonny Gray the newest member of the organization. However, some bettors feel that his impact won’t be felt right away, but look at it more like a long-term improvement.
The biggest issue surrounding Gray is unanswered questions regarding his health as well as play. Gray had a rough year in 2016, but he should still be able to synergize well with the AL East contenders.
New York also managed to acquire Todd Frazier and David Robertson from the White Sox, should provide added depth for this season as well as upcoming years. But Gray is the real ace in the mix and online MLB betting fans should keep an eye on him He could become part of the team’s foundation.
