While many online horse betting players were looking to back Justify this weekend, they will have to take their favoritism elsewhere. This is because Justify will not be competing this weekend. And while that may close the door on bettors looking to back the steed this weekend, it also opens the door for other horses to come in and take the spotlight. In fact, many racebook sports betting sites are expecting just that this weekend. Let’s mulch over some of Justify’s rivals who could be making a splash this weekend.

Good Magic

Good Magic will be looking to repeat 2017’s success at Monmouth Park. Last year we saw Good Magic take the cake and he could very well do so once again. Considering that Good Magic gave Justify the biggest run for his money, it’s clear he has the talent to get the job done. The fact that he’s the Kentucky Derby runner-up and the Breeders’ cup Juvenile winner further solidifies this fact. Recently the son of Curlin has been delivering great performance. Although it hasn’t been enough to top Justify, it’s more than enough to come up big this weekend. Not only that, the fact that he skipped out on Belmont has Good Magic well-rested and revitalized. Leading up to this weekend’s action, Good Magic has been in good grace since Baltimore. Granted, Good Magic will have to beat out two of the rivals that edged past him at Preakness.

At the same time, this could be an opportunity for revenge.

Bravazo ranks amongst the few who were able to challenge Justify through all three legs of this year’s Triple Crown. Although Bravazo finished off the board in both Louisville and New York, he was undoubtedly the closest to Justify at the wire in all of those big three events. The Risen Star winner proved in early 2018 that he’s made for greatness. Bravazo accomplished this by finishing 2nd in this year’s Preakness. Trained by the honorably D. Wayne Lukas, the heir of Awesome Again is looking good in his training as of late.

There are a handful of other horses to consider backing this online horse betting weekend. Sportsbook players learning how to bet on horses might want to consider either Roaming Union or Long Branch hero Navy Commander. Both are currently considered long shots ahead of this weekend’s action. However, the door is open for both to come in and have a breakout day. On top of that, the odds out on either one are beyond favorable.

Other options include Core Beliefs, who is coming off a decisive victory over Lone Sailor at their latest outing. Trained by Peter Eurton, Core Beliefs is hoping to make a splash once again this weekend. Lone Sailor on the other hand, missed at the Louisiana Derby. With that in mind, its clear online horse betting players should shy away from Lone Sailor. On the other hand, any of the above listed options could turn up big this online horse betting weekend.
