2021 Frank E. Kilroe – Slam-bang horseracing action will unfurl at the Santa Anita Park in Arcadia, California, with the latest edition of the Frank E. Kilroe Mile. Five horses will start this year’s 2021 Frank E. Kilroe event. This event offers prestige to the winning horse and honor to the jockey and handlers. The race is the 62nd running of the one-mile. Frank E. Kilroe served as the racing secretary and handicapper at Santa Anita from 1953 to 1960. Thus, this 1.609-kilometer challenge was named after him. The horse race betting picks and parlays favor Ride a Comet to take the victory over four other capable one-mile racehorses following his big victory at the Tropical Turf Stakes.

Its first run in 1960 was at a distance of 1 1/4 miles (2.012 kilometers). Before its name today, the race was originally named Arcadia Handicap. Forty-one years later, the event was renamed Frank E. Kilroe Mile Handicap. In 2010, organizers changed the event from a handicap to a stakes race on an allowance weight base. In 1987, the distance of the race was changed from 1 1/4 miles to one mile and the race was upgraded to Grade 1 in 2005.
The first winner of the 2021 Frank E. Kilroe race was American Comet. Some of the prominent winners of the horseracing spectacle are Mr. Consistency (1964), Rivet (1969), Daryl’s Joy (1971), back-to-back winner Ga Hai (1975-76), Caucasus (1977), Exceller (1978), Flourescent Light (1979), Perrault (1982), Strawberry Road (1986), Prized (1990), Kip Deville (2007), Gio Ponti (2009), first female winner Proviso (2010) and Bai a Bali (2017). Betting on the Horseracing Race
The 2021 Frank E. Kilroe race lists five horses as probable entries in this prestigious Grade 1 event. Leading the field is Ride a Comet, who performed well in the 2021 Tropical Turf Stakes. The six-year-old horse out of Candy Ride and Appealing Zophie bested Casa Creed and Frostmourne in the one-mile race fest. The horse has won its last three starts – and seven of its last nine starts – to gain the trust of stakes race picks and parlays that focus on horseracing and other equine showcases. United will test Ride a Comet’s skills. He wants to prove that his eighth-placed finish in the Breeders’ Cup Turf was just a fluke.
Before the forgettable showing in his last race, the gelding out of Giant’s Causeway and Indy Punch has emerged as the top finisher on four of his last five starts. Smooth Like Strait is another entry that you cannot take for granted in this mile-long race as the four-year-old colt wound up victorious in the Mathis Brothers Mile. In his 10 starts, Smooth Like Strait has emerged as the winner six times. Hit The Road, on the other hand, will bring his three-race winning streak on the line. His last victory was in the Grade 3 Thunder Road Stakes on February 6 in Santa Anita. Royal Ship rounds out the field and has a record of 1:32.09 in a one-mile race.
