The PGA Tour has always been exciting in the world of golf with some of the top-class players showcasing their skills like Garrick Higgo. Placing a bet on golf has never been easier with all the odds and picks available online. Some of the top sports betting websites have helped bettors to place their bets on their favorite players with the help of the recent betting trends. The Palmetto Championship has been one of those interesting and entertaining tournaments over the years and this season will bring success to new players.
Garrick Higgo’s First Success
Garrick Higgo hit the headlines after earning his first victory at the PGA Tour after making his second start. Higgo went all the way to take a lead ahead of Chesson Hadley. The South African Golfer topped the leaderboard on Sunday after an interesting chase against Hadley. Higgo completed a three-under 68 for the round and finished at 11-under overall. The 22-year-old golfer has a huge career ahead and has already started to create history.
Higgo’s Hard Battle with Hadley
Hadley was no easy opponent to defeat as he heads towards victory. Hadley reached 13 under on the tee box at 16 and had everything under control. However, his next shot was a disaster after the ball landed in a waster area. Hadley had trouble getting the ball up and down and missed the greens at the 17th and 18th which landed the victory to Higgo. As for Higgo, he walked home with a great victory and managed to win $1.31 million in prize money. Higgo has brought pride to his country being the second South African to win this season after Pretoria’s Branden Grace.
U.S. Open 2021
The U.S. Open is all set to return to Torrey Pines this year after its last season back in 2008. Fans remember Tigers Woods for his outstanding performance in 2008 after winning the tournament with a broken leg. Woods was at his best while he defeated Rocco Mediate in an 18-hole playoff. However, the bad news is that Woods will not be able to make it to the U.S. Open this season after his accident in February. On the other hand, the big names are Brooks Koepka and Bruson DeChambeau for this upcoming season.
The list of players seems endless and this is all set to be an exciting tournament. Koepka is expected to be number one on the list followed by Collin Morikawa and Jon Rahm. The other players at the top 10 are Patrick Cantlay, Dustin Johnson, Louis Oosthuizen, Tony Finau, Bryson DeChambeau, Justin Thomas, and Viktor Hovland. These are believed to be the top 10 for now, but the US open golf betting odds are yet to be out. That said, betting on golf is all set to continue as several tournaments are yet to take place.
