Since the Covid-19 pandemic, several sports have been canceled including golf being one among them. The 2020 US Open was scheduled to take place during June 18-21 but was postponed to a later date. The good news is that September 17-20 is the allocated dates for the tournament to take place at Winged Foot Golf Club in Mamaroneck, New York. On the other hand, there will be no fans present due to precaution measures. The US Open Championship will be played in September for the first time in history. This has been the second time since the US Open has not been played since 1945. The other tournaments such as the PGA Championship and the Master are also postponed to a later date. The PGA Championship had just concluded from August third to ninth. However, the Masters is scheduled to take place during November 9-15.
There has not been a major PGA Tour at Winged Foot since 2006. The main reason for the USGA to host the tournament at Winged Foot is for that sole purpose. The sad news is that only players will be present, but it’s any day better than having the tournament canceled permanently. Fans will get the opportunity to stream the US Open online or watch it on television. The last time Winged Foot hosted the major, Geoff Ogilvy was the winner of the tournament. The us open golf odds will be up and running soon for bettors to place bets on their desired players. Golf betting is finally back like the other sports such as MLB and NBA.
Collin Morikawa, Dustin Johnson and Brooks Koepka on the list of top players
While there are 156 players participating in the US Open, there are a few names that have been spoken off due to their recent success. Collin Morikawa experienced success in the PGA Championship as his first major victory. Marikawa had the odds move closer after his win at the PGA Championship. The chances for Marikawa to win his second major tournament in a row is possible, but other competitors are also posing a threat. Dustin Johnson is the other notable player that has the potential to win his second major career title. Johnson won the US Open during 2016 and clinched the Northern Trust ahead of Harris English.
Following Johnson with the odds closely is Brooks Koepka. The 2017 and 2018 US Open champion has proved his worth with back to back success. Koepka is a potential player with impressive talent. The PGA Championship was out of his reach, but he dropped out of the race in the final round. Bryson DeChambeau is yet another threat this year, especially after his success at the Rocket Mortgage Classic. DeChambeau also triumphed at the Charles Schwab Challenge and the RBC Heritage.

2020 US Open Golf Picks
The golf betting odds us open have several options for bettors to choose from. There are favorites and players that have a long shot of winning. However, the top six seem to have the best opportunity in the 2020 US Open. Dustin Johnson seems to be an easy call, but there are also players like Rory McIlroy and Jon Rahm apart from Brooks Koepka and Bryson DeChambeau. Getting back to playing golf has been an improvement on its own, despite the current situation. That said, the 2020 US Open is all set to be full of surprises and excitement.
