Point Spread for Super Bowl 2020: Razor Thin

Point Spread for Super Bowl 2020

There are small lines. There are razor tight lines. And then there’s the point spread for Super Bowl 2020: 1. As of this writing, it’s one. One point, the Chiefs are favored over the 49ers by one point. Sure, that could change. Many of the analysts who analyze Super Bowl betting have already said that they think by the time the game gets closer, the 49ers will move up, possibly going to a “no line” situation. Regardless, this Super Bowl is as tight as can be. That makes for a great betting situation for players, no matter what they believe.

Betting on this Super Bowl

You can give or take the one point however you like at our online betting site. Of course, we offer many more ways to bet than just having to give or take that one point. You can also bet the odds, the money line, and the over/under. The 49ers have a defense lead by probable Defensive Rookie of the Year, Nick Bosa. The Chiefs defense did what the more vaunted Patriots and Ravens defenses couldn’t do: stop Derrick Henry.

However, the bettors aren’t too sure about either defense, as the over/under for this game is 54.5. That means that they believe the combined score of the game will be over or under 54.5 points. So, in a tight game, that would mean that each team scored at least three touchdowns as well as some other points other ways. The bettors are assuming that this is going to be some kind of near shootout.

Which, when you think about it, makes a kind of sense. Jimmy G is as hot as a quarterback can be, and he hasn’t had to do too much in the playoffs so far. San Francisco’s running game has been that strong, and all Jimmy G had to do was make the plays that are in front of him. Should the defense play as tight as it did against the Packers and Vikings (not easy when it comes to KC) then the game could definitely be the under.

Point Spread for Super Bowl 2020: Mahomes and a Constant QB Threat

Then again, they haven’t seen anything quite like Mahomes before. Sure, Aaron Rodgers is an all-time great, and the 49ers did a very good job against him in the NFC Title Game. However, Rodgers is also a bit older than Mahomes was, and the supporting cast around Aaron is not as great as the ones he had in the past (certainly nothing compared to the one he had in SuperBowl 45).

Mahomes, on the other hand, has weapons as far as the eye can see. From running back to receiver, tight end and more, there are weapons all over the field. Moreover, he has a very good line, too. Should things not look like they’re going to go his way, then Mahomes can take off himself – which can be a true weapon, too.

There’s something to the idea that “a team that has looked elimination in the eye and not blinked could handle anything.” It’s hard to imagine a team that did that more so far in the postseason than Kansas City. The start of the Texans game was, quite literally, as bad as a game can go more or less. Down by so many touchdowns in their own stadium, it seemed like their playoffs were done before they ever even got started. That they came back from that could show that they’re ready to claim a championship.

A Case for Dominance

There is, however, another school of thought: a team that rolls over their opponents is the best option to bet on. Instead of falling behind opponents, they merely rolled over them. That’s certainly what the 49ers have done so far in the playoffs. Minnesota and then Green Bay were in those games for a moment, but they never became a real, actual threat to win at any point during the game. 49ers took leads and then never really looked back. That kind of dominance could mean that they roll through the Super Bowl, too.

With only one point separating the two teams, it’s the analysts’ way of telling you “this is probably going to be a good game.” At BetNow, you can find more ways to bet on this game. That means that you can bet on what’s going to happen at the end of each quarter. You can bet throughout the game, so you can enjoy it even if you’re not a fan of either team and/or are at the most boring party imaginable.
