Never Too Early to Think about Super Bowl Betting Tips
Posted by: Hilbert Mayer
Yes, it’s not exactly February. As of this writing, it’s not exactly Thanksgiving. However, that doesn’t mean that it’s too early to think about the Super Bowl. The fan bases of more than a dozen teams (as of this writing, probably more than two dozen) have images of the Lombardi Trophy dancing in their heads. If they’re thinking about the Super Bowl, then you can think about it, too. At our site, you’ll be able to find all of the Super Bowl betting tips and more that you may want to get down.
Before the Super Bowl Betting Tips, the Playoffs
The road to the playoffs is long and lengthy in the NFL. Before the playoffs even begin, most of the teams are going to be eliminated. With the current playoff structure, some very good teams aren’t going to make the playoffs. That doesn’t mean that they’re championship-caliber teams, but rather they’re teams that in earlier, less competitive years, might have been able to make the playoffs. There can be great opportunities for you to bet on.
For example, before the playoffs begin, there are many regular-season games that are, for lack of a better word, playoff games. Sure, they don’t say that on the schedule, but the loser of the game probably has seen their season end. The NFL actually somewhat courts this, as the last week of the season is almost invariably divisional games. That way, the league can have high stakes matchups at least a few of the times in the last week of the year. As a bettor, you can make bank here.
Sometimes, these lines move because fans of a certain team will bet with their hearts and not with their heads. While there are good teams that are not quite going to make the playoffs, their fans may still bet on them enough to keep the line from being where it might be otherwise. We can give you all of the opportunities you need to make quite a bit of money on these games.
The Playoffs Themselves
The Wild Card Weekend is named that for a lot of reasons, but at the end of the day, it really is a “wild card.” These games can be strange because you can have divisional champions who maybe weren’t in a competitive division (as in, they clinched their division long ago, so they haven’t had to play to win a game in a month or something) against a team that finished second or third in their division and is on a massive winning streak. These games can lead to strange, odd and unexpected outcomes.
The same goes for the divisional round, too, and here the effect is magnified. The teams with the two best records in the conference (unless the team with the second-best record in the conference is in the same division as the team with the best record – then, they went to all of that trouble to be a wild card team) get byes through the Wild Card round. Then, they host a Divisional Round game at their home stadium. For the most part, the home teams win these games. However, they don’t always. Sure, they’re often the best teams. But, sometimes, they’ve been off for a couple weeks. Maybe they haven’t had to play a tough game in a while. On top of that, maybe they’re just a bad matchup for the team that they’re playing. In the past, the home teams in these games used to be locks. Now, they aren’t so much anymore.
