The real bowl season is upon us. If you’ve been following college football for any length of time, you know what we’re talking about. Yes, it’s wonderful that so many teams play in these bowl games. Absolutely, it’s fantastic that there’s always a football game on, starting in mid-December, that lasts through the rest of the year. It’s a hoot to watch these games, to bet on college football, to soak in the atmosphere. That said, we’re now at the point of the bowl season where, well, you know all of the schools. These are some of the best teams playing the bigger bowls, all leading up to the BCS. As ever, you can bet NCAA football bowl games right here at BetNow.
Bet NCAA Football Bowl Games on Dec 30th
On December 30th, we’ve got big bowls between big teams from big conferences. First, at noon, we’ve got the Mayo Bowl. This creamy matchup includes Wisconsin from the Big 10 playing against Wake Forest of the ACC. Now, as of this writing, the handicappers do not believe in the Demon Deacons. They have the Badgers as 9.5 point favorites. But, as we know during this year (and really, every bowl season) anything can happen. What do you think? In this Big 10 vs. ACC matchup, who do you got?
The Cotton Bowl, one of those bowl games that absolutely everyone can name, follows that. Fittingly, it involves teams that everyone can name, too. Florida plays the Sooners. Oklahoma is favored by 4.5 in a game that has an over / under of 67.5 points. So, the handicappers believe this is going to be an exciting one. They’ve got a close game where there’s going to be wild scoring throughout. As ever, you’ll see plenty of these players on Sunday. How do you feel about this one? Does the SEC mainstay prevail? Or will Boomer Sooner boom again?
The NCAA Games on New Year’s Eve and Beyond
The great thing about this time of year is that there’s always going to be college football. On New Year’s Eve, we’ve got plenty of games. The Mountaineers of West Virginia play Army (yes, Army). WVU is favored by seven points, but, with the kind of season that Army has had, can you really count them out?
Other games on New Year’s Eve include Mississippi State playing Tulsa in the Armed Forces Bowl. Tulsa is only a two point favorite, and the over under is a low 45.5. This could be a tense, back and forth struggle. Out west, Ball State plays San Jose State in the Arizona Bowl, where the Aztecs are a heavy 9.5 point favorite.
New Year’s Day has always been, for much of our lives, about college football bowl games. This year is no exception. For example, this is when the BCS semifinals really kick into gear.
Alabama players Notre Dame from the Rose Bowl in Pasadena. The professional handicappers have Alabama as about as big a favorite as you can imagine in one of these games, with the Crimson Tide being a 19.5 point favorite. It’s hard to count out a team that’s made it to the semifinals. By that same token, it’s hard to ever bet online against Alabama in a big game. How do you see this one playing out?
The other semifinal is a little bit later, from the Saints’ Superdome. There, Ohio State plays Clemson. These games are always something, because it takes a lot for Ohio State to be a 7.5 point underdog to someone. However, if they’re going to be such an underdog, it’s going to be to a powerhouse opponent like Clemson. Who do you see getting to the championship game?
