“It’s the most wonderful time of the year…” OK, Christmas may be over, but bowl season is not. Bowl season is still with us for a few days. Really, it’s not just “with us,” it’s building. It’s rising to a crescendo. That’s what bowl season is doing right now. Yes, the big BCS games are on the horizon. Notre Dame vs. Alabama. Ohio State vs. Clemson. One of those four teams is going to be the national champion. However, after that semifinal on January 1st, there are still more bowl games to come. As ever, you can bet college football bowl games (and plenty of others) here at the best sports betting site, BetNow.
Bet College Football Bowl Games on January 2nd
For decades, the Gator Bowl was held at, well, the Gator Bowl. It was where the Florida Gators played. That’s not where the Gator Bowl is anymore. Instead, it’s in the bowl of an entirely different kind of large predatory cat: TIAA Bank Field, home of the Jacksonville Jaguars (and, in a few months, Trevor Lawrence). But, on Saturday, at noon, it will be where Kentucky plays NC State. This is another classic SEC vs. ACC matchup. Kentucky is a 2.5 point favorite over the Wolfpack. Who do you got in this one?
A little later on in the day, the Outback Bowl commences. It’s from not all that far away, at Raymond James Stadium in Tampa (home of the Buccaneers as well as South Florida). There, we’ll have an SEC vs. Big 10 matchup. Ole Miss plays against the Hoosiers. When it comes to an SEC vs. Big 10 matchup, you might think that the SEC team would be the heavy favorite. That’s not the case here. Instead, the Hoosiers are an 8.5 point favorite over Ole Miss. How do you see this one playing out? Can Ole Miss cover or pull the upset? Or, do the Hoosiers run off with it?
Still More Games on January 2nd
January 2nd, long thought of as “oh man, this is the day the year really starts, isn’t it” has become a day of non-stop football. At 4 PM, from the State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona, Oregon goes to play Iowa State. Again, this is one of those matchups that, if you haven’t’ followed college football all that closely this year, you might be surprised to see that Oregon isn’t the heavy favorite. Actually, they’re a four point underdog to the cyclones. Do you see that holding? Or, do you believe that Oregon, as they’re always going to have great recruiting classes, can calm the Cyclones/
Lastly, the day of college football on January 2nd ends with a trip to the Orange Bowl. While there are no Florida teams in this game, there are two schools that you’ve definitely heard of. The North Carolina Tar Heels take on the Aggies of Texas A and M. The Aggies are a 7.5 point favorite in this one. But, the over / under on this one is 65.5 points, which means that the handicappers see a high scoring game to take us through this day of college football? What do you think?
Of course, once these games end, that’s not the end of college football. The biggest game of them all, the actual National Championship Game, is still to come. There, we’ll get the winners of the two semifinals. And, of course, the NFL playoffs are just on the horizon, too. No matter how you want to bet football, you’ll be able to do it at BetNow.
